Terms and conditions

Bookings

All bookings are considered tentative until paid in full. If payment is not received 2 weeks prior to function date, your booking will be released and made available to other customers.

Please note: The restaurant is fully licensed (no BYO).

Charges and payment

Must be made in full 2 weeks prior to the date of function. We accept Cheque, Money Order and Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard).

Cheques and Money Orders are to be made payable to Sydney Institute – TAFE NSW Ultimo College and sent to:

Function cancellations

In the unfortunate event that your function is cancelled, the following conditions apply:

Notice of more than 7 days – the total amount paid will be refunded.
Notice of 4 – 6 days – 50% of the total amount paid will be refunded.
Notice of 3 days or less – Due to the costs incurred at this stage, no refund can be made; therefore the amount paid will be forfeited.

Special requests

Any special requests such as dietary requirements, seating requests, must be included with your booking and provided 2 weeks prior to the function.

Please note that there may be traces of peanuts, nuts, milk, gluten, eggs or milk, soy, sesame, fish and shellfish in the dishes on the menu.
If you have a food allergy, a food sensitivity, or a special dietary requirement, please inform the Function Co-ordinator when making your booking so that consideration can be given in the preparation of appropriate food for you.

Portions of individual dishes are limited as this is a training environment.

Commencement and vacating of The Apprentice

The customer agrees to begin and vacate The Apprentice at the scheduled times of the function:

• Lunch 12:00 pm for 12:30 pm seating – 2:30 pm conclusion
• Dinner 6:30 pm for 7:00 pm seating – 9:00 pm conclusion

Final Numbers

Are required 2 weeks prior to the function and charges will be based on guaranteed numbers or final headcount, whichever is greater.

Pricing

Prices may be varied without notice due to seasonal fluctuation.

Security

TAFE NSW Sydney Institute, Ultimo College will not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to any equipment or merchandise left on the premises including motor vehicles prior to, during, or after the function.

Confirmation of Booking

Can only occur when full payment has been received.

Compliance

Customers are responsible for the orderly behaviour of themselves and their guests. TAFE NSW Sydney Institute, Ultimo College reserves the right to intervene if necessary.

Displays and Signage

No items are to be attached or pinned to the walls or any area in the restaurant, without prior approval.

Damages

Customers will assume responsibility for any and all damages caused during the function by any of their guests, whether in The Apprentice or in any part of TAFE NSW Sydney Institute, Ultimo College Grounds.

Fire, Life and Safety

TAFE NSW Sydney Institute, Ultimo College retains the right to adjust any set-up to ensure fire, life and safety codes are not breached.

Responsible Service of Alcohol

TAFE NSW – Sydney Institute staff and students strictly adhere to Responsible Service of Alcohol policies. No person under the age of 18 years will be served with alcohol.  A valid proof of age identification or driver licence must be provided when requested. Persons who are intoxicated or showing signs of intoxication will not be served alcohol and will also be asked to leave the premises. A range of low and non-alcoholic beverages are available.
