After travelling around Europe for several years and working as a chef, Tom was ready for a change of career.

“I completed my apprenticeship as an adult apprentice, and achieved early completion of the traditional indentured apprenticeship, via application to the apprenticeship board under recommendation of my employer, Coddington Constructions. Olivia wanted practical work-based training to get straight into her industry – and TAFE was the best way. She plans to do her degree – with one year of Advanced Standing from TAFE – and ultimately become a CPA (Certified Practising Accountant).

“TAFE is a friendly environment and the teachers always have time for you. I looked for a job in accounts and two weeks later I got one! I know that was because of TAFE.”
