When Anthony decided that he wanted to join the police force, he realised that he needed to improve his writing and communication skills.  “Over the past two years I have been working as well as studying. I have put in a lot of hours and it is wonderful to see the changes in my communication. At my workplace my employers have seen the change in me and I now have supervisory responsibilities. I plan to apply for the Police Academy next year. I enjoy working my local community and helping others. I look forward to being a police officer that others can rely on.”

Having completed her traineeship in Certificate III in Children’s Services, Lisa decided to further her career by studying the complexities of Out of School Hours Care.

“The Diploma in OOSH has helped me gain the career position of co-ordinator of Before and After School Care and Vacation Care Services at the Riverwood Community Centre. It can be challenging, due to the vast age range of the children but the work is very fulfilling and rewarding.”
