Power Plates

Benefits include:

  • improved coordination and flexibility
  • increased muscle strength.
Acceleration training is also excellent for rehabilitation as it is a low impact exercise program.

Free cycle/spin classes

Free cycle classes are held twice a week:
  • Monday: 7.45 am – 8.30 am
  • Wednesday: 4.45 pm – 5.30 pm.
Our cycle classes are suitable for beginners, intermediate and advanced participants.

Before you begin training

You will be asked to complete a short ‘Pre-exercise Questionnaire’ to inform S.M.A.R.T. Training Staff of your current health and fitness status. Your fitness/lifestyle goals will then be discussed if you require assistance with a fitness program. Males over 35 and females over 45 and those with certain pre-existing illnesses/injuries will be requested to obtain medical clearance before commencing an exercise program.

It is quite possible that your session at S.M.A.R.T. Training will be supervised by a Student Instructor. Your co-operation is hereby sought so that valuable ‘on-the-job’ experience can be gained.

What do I need to bring?

To use the gym facilities please bring with you:
  • appropriate footwear
  • a towel
  • water bottle
  • padlock for locker.
For your own safety and the safety of others, you will not be allowed to use the facilities unless you are equipped with proper footwear and a towel.

For the comfort and safety of all, bags are not allowed in the S.M.A.R.T. Training gym and aerobics room. No responsibility can be taken by S.M.A.R.T. Training staff for clients’ personal valuables (e.g. wallets, mobile phones, sunglasses), these are the sole responsibility of the owner. Lockers are provided on the first floor ‘G’ Block, near the outdoor courts.
