Each teaching section is allocated a liaison librarian who will keep you up-to-date with new resources available in the library. Please
contact your liaison librarian to discuss your teaching needs and recommend new resources.
Information Training
Information training is integral to lifelong learning. Sessions can be tailored for your group of students. Click on the

Online Resources
Specialist training sessions are provided to enhance search skills and can cover the following online resources:
- Internet search – How do I obtain quality information on the Internet?
- Studylinks – What is it? How is it useful for my teaching?
- Online databases – What are they? Which databases are relevant to my needs? How can I access them? How do I search them efficiently?

Special Reserve
Teachers can request items to be placed in our Special Reserve collection situated behind the library loans desk. This collection is expected to be heavily used by a particular group of students. Placement of items in Special Reserve allows equitable access to those students.
Items may be from the general collection in the library or your personal collection of resources which will be returned to you when the students no longer require them.

E-Reserve (Electronic Reserve)
E-Reserve is an electronic collection of resources available 24x7 to students on the web. These electronic resources can consist of journal articles, a chapter from a book or even teachers’ notes. A password is required for access.
Copyright is observed when placing resources on E-Reserve.

Resource Development Kit
Book the Resource Development Kit to develop your Web 2.0 teaching resources. The kit includes a laptop, digital camera, speakers, iPod and microphones. The laptop has software to support the creation of online lectures e.g.
i-lectures, and you can use the iPod to upload audio to your
blogs and
wikis.
Equipment
The library houses a collection of equipment including laptops, data projectors, cordless microphone and digital cameras.

Group Study Room and Seminar Room
These rooms are available for small group use.

Montie Safetycare Videos
OH&S Safetycare videos are available on a library laptop for use in your classroom.

An email alert service keeps in up-to-date on current developments in your teaching subject area. Scanned contents pages of journals are emailed to your desktop.

Document Delivery
