Chem Watch Gold 2

Chem Watch Gold 2 (formerly ChemWatch) is a database encompassing detailed information about a vast number of chemicals. This data is commonly presented as Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), the legal format for providing information about chemicals used internationally. DET/TAFE has negotiated a license with Chemwatch to access ChemGold II, which has a brand new interface to give much greater power and ease of use.

The program is user friendly, and has been designed for both the non expert working with chemicals and the occupational health and safety specialist.

Design and Applied Arts Index (DAAI)

Indexes over 300 current design and craft journals. Subjects include: interior design, graphic design, design history, jewellery, metal smithing, fashion, ceramics and advertising. Four international directories relating to design education; organisations/societies; periodicals/magazines and archives/special collections are also included.

Period covered: 1987 to present.
This database is available to the Design Centre Library staff and students Design and Applied Art Index

See TV news stories – including last night’s news stories - as video streams. This database of videos covers Australian television news, current affairs and selected documentaries from the free-to-air networks with links to the digitised video content in a compressed format. All individual stories from a particular broadcast are indexed with a detailed synopsis. TVNews is updated daily, with stories appearing on an evening news broadcast generally being available for access the next morning. Coverage begins mid 2007.
