Finding information in Sydney Institute Library

Use TAFEcat, the library catalogue, to search for books, eBooks, DVDs and other materials owned by TAFE NSW libraries.

TAFE NSW Sydney Institute has a wide variety of journals and magazines in both print and electronic format. Use the journal index page to search for titles by keyword, or to browse the alphabetical list of titles.

The libraries have a range of databases available to Sydney Institute staff and students, covering many subject areas.

• The information databases page lists the titles and describes the databases we have.
• The databases login page is where you can get access to some of these databases over the Internet. This page also gives you access to past TAFE NSW exams.

To get the password, present your Sydney Institute TAFEcard to library staff.

Sydney Institute libraries subscribe to eBooks. This is a web based electronic book (eBook) service. You can search for electronic versions of books by subject and read them online. Our eBooks service gives you access to books in a range of subject areas, particularly business and management.

The Library's eRes (electronic reserve is a collection of articles, chapters, forms, and information sheets that have been digitised and made available for online student use.

TAFE NSW libraries directory site, Studylinks, is a series of web links selected by TAFE NSW library staff which covers all TAFE subject areas.

Access past TAFE exams through the databases login page. You will need a password to access this service. To get the password, please present your Sydney Institute TAFEcard to library staff.
