The Design Centre Enmore (DCE) is Sydney Institute’s creative hub, home to many of the best-known design courses in Australia. Located in Sydney’s vibrant inner-west, the Design Centre Enmore has developed a reputation for producing some of Australia’s most talented designers.

Design courses

If you are seeking your first design job, new skills to advance your career or a new career path, and you want a level of practical training that universities don’t provide, our courses deliver.

We offer some of Australia’s best short courses and nationally-accredited training programs in areas including graphic design, interior design, 3D art and animation, product design, events and entertainment design, jewellery and object design and web design, including the Bachelor of Design (Interior Design) and our new Bachelor of 3D Art & Animation.

We teach practical and adaptable skills that employers want. We offer selected courses as either full-time or part-time study options.

Bachelor of Design (Interior Design) degree

The Bachelor of Design (Interior Design) degree is a 3 year specialist degree geared towards preparing students for the practical demands of the international design industry. Articulation is possible for graduates of our Advanced Diploma of Interior Design and other entry pathways, such as the HSC, are also possible.

Bachelor of 3D Art and Animation degree

The Bachelor of 3D Art and Animation degree is a 3 year professional degree geared towards preparing students for the practical demands of the international animation industry. Articulation is possible for graduates of the TAFE NSW Diploma of 3D Animation and Digital Effects (Course 19200). Other entry pathways are also possible.

Our design industry-standard facilities are designed to make your learning experience comfortable, enjoyable and rewarding. We offer the following:

five PC labs
four MAC labs

vibrant, communal courtyard.

Our computer laboratories are equipped with a broad range of pre-installed software applications and high-quality printing facilities.

You will also be able to access a range of other Sydney Institute facilities and student services .

Each year between 600 and 800 new students from all over Australia and the world come to study with us. At the Design Centre Enmore you will be part of a thriving community of aspiring designers working in a highly-creative and productive environment.
