Women's education and training at Sydney Institute

The TAFE NSW Women’s Strategy 2004 – 2010 provides a framework for all TAFE NSW Institutes to improve access and participation, and achieve equitable outcomes for women students in vocational education and training.

Sydney Institute is committed to promoting opportunities for female students and staff from diverse backgrounds that enable them to achieve their full potential.

Our programs for women offer:

• flexible study and timetables managed around other responsibilities
• help to get back into the workforce after a break from employment.

Work Opportunities for Women

Tasting Success – Women Chef’s Mentoring Program

For apprentice chefs who want to be mentored by some of Australia’s leading gastronomes. Mentors include:

To be eligible women must be studying Year 2 or 3 of the Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery – Trade or Non-Trade).
