A clear pathway from TAFE to university

At Sydney Institute we have developed strong links with Australian universities to ensure our graduates have a clear pathway to university education, often with generous credit arrangements. We offer several degree programs at our colleges in partnership with the University of Wollongong and Charles Sturt University. Students graduating from selected linked-in Advanced Diplomas can get up to two years’ credit in these three year degrees.

TAFE NSW also has formal articulation arrangements both at a state and national level with 32 different universities. These arrangements cover course areas as diverse as building and construction, business studies, engineering, library and information studies, community services, IT, surveying, tourism, hospitality and design.

CU@CSU: Charles Sturt University program

Charles Sturt University (CSU) has specifically developed the CU@CSU program to support and reward TAFE graduates wanting to study at university.

Benefits of the CU@CSU program include:
  • guaranteed entry for all Diploma and Advanced Diploma TAFE graduates into most CSU undergraduate degrees
  • generous course credit for relevant previous studies.
Students need to have completed the TAFE qualification within the last 10 years however, the area of TAFE study does not need to be related to the chosen CSU study program.
