TAFE NSW – Sydney Institute has a range of venues, facilities and services available to hire for your next workshop, conference, meeting, forum, function or event. All seven of our colleges are well served by road, bus and rail networks.

Colleges available to stage your next workshop, meeting or event include:

Yes, but you must display Responsible Service of Alcohol signage. If alcohol is going to be served by staff other than approved caterers, we require their personal details and ‘Responsible Service of Alcohol’ certification.

You cannot advertise your event until you have received written confirmation that it has been approved.

You must conduct a risk assessment of all activities associated with running the event including set up, installation and removal. A completed Risk Assessment form must be submitted to our Events and Services Coordinator (Ultimo College only) or the relevant College/Campus Operations Manager prior to your event date.

You must comply with all TAFE NSW Occupational Health and Safety polices and procedures.

You must ensure that Child Protection Legislation requirements are met.

You must attach copies of your Public Liability Insurance Cover and/or Workers Compensation Insurance.

In the case of an emergency you must contact Sydney Institute security on the relevant college security phone number or the Institute security number (02) 9217 3333. You must inform all participants/guests attending your event of the evacuation assembly points and evacuation routes. You must inform college security when your event has concluded.

You can only use electrical equipment that you have been given prior permission to use. All electrical equipment brought onto the premises must have passed electrical testing and display the certification tag.

You must use the rubbish bins and recycling bins provided and leave the venue in a clean and tidy manner. General cleaning is provided – additional cleaning will incur a charge.

At Ultimo College you can only use our preferred caterers – call (02) 9217 3400 for a list. At all other colleges/campuses you can select your own caterer.
