Sydney Institute at a glance
Sydney Institute is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), operating under the National VET Regulator, and is a nationally and internationally recognised training provider that provides quality assured training for domestic and international students.
Sydney Institute is committed to excellence in vocational education and training. The Institute has maintained its successful registration of ISO 9001 Quality Management Standards since 2002, achieving international standards for quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
As a quality training provider to international students on a student visa, the Institute is registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) providing security and peace of mind for international students.
The Institute forms part of TAFE NSW, a statutory authority established under NSW State legislation, the Technical and Further Education Commission Act 1990. TAFE NSW has the financial stability and support of the NSW Government. As part of the NSW Government, TAFE NSW is a dependable organisation which students and industry can confidently rely on for the long term.

In 2009, there were 29,200 course completions in total. A student outcomes survey conducted by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) in May 2010 shows that:
- 88% of graduates were satisfied with the overall quality of training
- 85.2% of graduates were employed or in further study after training
- 71% of graduates gained employment after training
- 38% of graduates undertook further study after training
- 71% of graduates reported after training that the training was relevant to their current job
- 91.5% graduates said they would recommend the training to others
- 94% of graduates said they would recommend their Institute to others.
