3D Animation at Sydney Institute

3D Animation at the Design Centre Enmore, Sydney Institute offers digital effects and 3D animation courses in Maya, a high-end industry standard animation software.

Maya is used in feature films such as Lord of the Rings, Finding Nemo, Harry Potter, Spiderwick, Happy Feet, Ratatouille and the Pirates of the Caribbean. Maya software is also used extensively in television series and commercials as well as the computer games industry.

Certificate and Diploma 3D Animation courses

We offer the Diploma 3D Animation and Digital Effects (Course # 19200) and Certificate IV 3D Animation and Digital Effects (Course # 19202) on a full-time basis. These courses were developed and created in consultation with a broad representation of the film, TV and games industries.

With small class sizes, the courses are practical, very hands on and graduates are expected to produce a showreel by the end of course.

We also offer short courses such as 3D Studio Max.

Certificate IV – 3D Animation and Digital Effects

The Certificate IV 3D animation course is geared to both school leavers and those in industry who wish to upgrade skills or change careers. Depending on skills brought to the course, graduates can gain employment after completing this comprehensive course.

Diploma – 3D Animation and Digital Effects

The 3D Animation Diploma will upgrade the skills learnt in Certificate IV and add compositing and other specific skills to your repertoire.

Our 3D Animation diploma to degree pathway

Our Diploma 3D Animation and Digital Effects (19200) offers you a higher education degree pathway. If you successfully complete the 3D Animation Diploma you will be eligible to rceive 48 of 144 credit points required for the three year Raffles College of Design and Commerce Bachelor of Arts (Visual Communication) degree.
